Winter-Spring Storytimes at Glocester Libraries
January 21 – May 23
Glocester Libraries offer preschool storytime programs to help your child develop
skills that are fundamental building blocks for school readiness. These include positive early literacy experiences, fine and gross motor skills, phonological
awareness, social skills, and navigation through the 8 domains of RI's Early Learning Standards. Join Miss Allison for fun, interactive, and creative story times that will delight and encourage your child to be ready for school.
Tiny Tots
Introduces tots (ages 8 months to 2 years) and their parents to the essential early learning practices of finger plays, nursery rhymes, songs, and board books. Exploratory social play follows each story time.
- Thursdays at 11 am, January 24 – March 28 at Harmony Library
Toddler Time
Ages 2 - 3.5 years and their parent/guardian are invited for a half hour of stories, flannel board activities, finger plays, and songs.
Story Time is followed by 30 minutes of exploratory "free play" with other toddlers.
- Tuesdays at 10:00 am at Glocester Manton Library
- Wednesdays at 11:00 am at Harmony Library
Preschool and Kindergarten Storytime
Ages 3 1/2 - 5 are invited for 45 minutes of stories, songs, activities, and crafts. This story time is often the child's first "separation"
from his/her parent, and his/her first exposure to a "classroom" setting.
- Wednesdays at 10:00 am at Harmony Library
- Wednesdays 1:30 pm at Harmony Library
- Thursdays at 10:00 am at Harmony Library
